SCINT 2026 Summer School
May 23th AND 24th, 2026
The SCINT conference series focuses on scintillation science, with a primary emphasis on inorganic materials. Since SCINT 2011 in Giessen (Germany), a summer school has been organized on the weekend preceding each SCINT conference.
The SCINT Summer School is designed for scientists and students entering the field of scintillation, offering a comprehensive introduction to this multidisciplinary area. The program covers a wide range of topics, from material preparation and performance measurement to the mechanisms of energy relaxation leading to light emission, as well as engineering aspects related to practical applications.
The school features lectures delivered by leading experts in the field, providing participants with both foundational knowledge and insights into the latest developments. Beyond the scientific program, the event encourages networking and community building, fostering future connections and collaborations among attendees.
Participants will also have the opportunity to present their research projects through short oral presentations (one-slide “pitch talks”), promoting discussion and feedback in an informal and supportive environment.
